“Rain and Gusty Winds Hit Kashmir Valley After Season’s Hottest Day”: SRINAGAR: After recording the hottest day of the season, Srinagar and parts of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday evening witnessed strong gusty winds, damaging rooftops of several houses and shops across the Valley, officials said.

An official said that gusty winds coupled with heavy rain damaged rooftops of many shops in the main market Chandilora, Tangmarg. He said that many houses also suffered damage in the main town Baramulla, Srinagar, and other parts of the Valley.
The weather department had predicted the possibility of gusty winds, rain, and thundershowers at several places in Jammu and Kashmir for the next 2 days.
