In an effort to bolster the Anganwadi Centres under the POSHAN Project Read (Phase 2nd), applications are now being accepted for the positions of Sanginis (Anganwadi Workers) and Sahayikas (Anganwadi Helpers). The following reference points provide the framework for this recruitment drive:

  1. Human Resource Policy: The Human Resource Policy for Anganwadi workers (AWWs) and Anganwadi Helpers (AMs) was implemented as per Government Order No. 222-JK (SWD) of 2022, dated 30.11.2022. This policy is in alignment with the Administrative Council Decision No. 144/132022 dated 23.11.2022.
  2. Directions Issued: Further directions have been issued through Government Order No. 103-JK (SWD) of 2023, dated 28.04.2023.
  3. Approval Letter: The Mission Directorate, POSHAN J&K, has provided approval for this recruitment initiative, as indicated in their letter no. SMD/ICDS/Recruitment2023-24/31205-09 dated 03.10.2023.
  4. Clarification: The Administrative Department has issued a clarification regarding this recruitment process through letter No. SWD-ICDS/43/2022 dated 14.08.2023, in the Department of Social Welfare.
