Rescue Operation Saves Woman from Drowning in Jhelum: SRINAGAR: A woman jumped into the river Jhelum from Budshah Bridge in Srinagar on Tuesday, prompting a rescue operation by the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), officials said.

An official said that SDRF personnel launched a rescue operation soon after the incident and successfully pulled the woman out of the river after sustained efforts.
She was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for medical attention. “Her condition was not known immediately but is said to be stable,” the official added.
The reason behind the woman’s action is being ascertained. (KNO)
