SBI Clerk Recruitment 2025: Apply for 6589 Junior Associate Posts – Check Eligibility, Selection Process, and Deadline
The State Bank of India (SBI) has announced a massive recruitment drive to fill 6589 vacancies for the post of Junior Associate (Customer Support and Sales) under regular and backlog categories. Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the SBI Clerk 2025 recruitment, candidates must meet specific educational and age-related requirements. The minimum age is 20 years, and the maximum is 28 years as of April 1, 2025. This means applicants should be born between April 2, 1997, and April 1, 2005, both dates inclusive. Age relaxation is applicable for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per government norms.
In terms of educational qualifications, applicants must have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the central government. Candidates pursuing integrated dual degree programs must ensure that the date of passing the degree is on or before December 31, 2025. Those who are in their final year or final semester of graduation can also apply provisionally. However, they must produce proof of passing the graduation examination before the cutoff date if selected.
Selection Process
The SBI Clerk recruitment process involves a three-tier selection method. The first stage is the Preliminary Examination, which is conducted online. It includes objective-type questions with a total of 100 marks, and the duration of the test is 1 hour.
Candidates who qualify in the prelims will be called for the Mains Examination, which carries 190 questions worth 200 marks. The test will be held online and has a duration of 2 hours and 40 minutes.
After clearing the Mains exam, selected candidates will be required to take the Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT). This is applicable only to those who did not study the specified local language of the applied state or union territory in their 10th or 12th standard. The LLPT will carry 20 marks and is designed to ensure that selected candidates are proficient in the local language of the area where they will be posted.
Application Fee
Candidates belonging to the General, OBC, and EWS categories must pay an application fee of Rs 750. However, SC, ST, PwBD, XS, and DXS category candidates are exempted from the fee.
