Scheduled Power Outages Announced for Various Areas in Jammu and Kashmir
SRINAGAR: The Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) and Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) have announced scheduled power outages in multiple areas across Jammu and Kashmir due to maintenance and stabilisation works.
According to the Chief Engineer (Distribution) JPDCL, Jammu, power supply in several areas, including Barui, Nardiwal, Mandrian, Kha, Maira, Thatar Mundh, Payan and adjoining regions, will be affected on 5 and 7 February from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Similarly, the Superintending Engineer (Distribution) JPDCL, O&M Circle Kathua, has informed that Chandwan, Balhar, Seswan and surrounding areas will experience power cuts on 6 February from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Additionally, power supply to Badhori and its neighbouring areas will be disrupted on 9 February from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, while Meen and its surrounding localities will face outages on 7, 8, and 10 February from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
In Kashmir, the Chief Engineer KPDCL has announced that power supply from the 33kV Bandipora Line to receiving stations in Watlab, Tujjar, Dooru, and adjacent areas will be interrupted on 10 February from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM for emergency stabilisation work. Likewise, maintenance work on the 33kV Gulmarg Line will lead to power outages in Tangmarg, Kulhama, Gulmarg, Baba Reshi, Ferozpora, and surrounding areas on the same day from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Furthermore, receiving stations in Wagoora, along with the feeding areas of Wagoora, Watergam, Mangam, Kawcheck, and nearby localities, will experience power disruptions on 8 February from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Residents are advised to make necessary arrangements and plan accordingly during the scheduled power cuts. Authorities have assured that efforts are being made to complete the work within the stipulated time to minimise inconvenience.
