“Scheduled Power Shutdown in Multiple Areas of Kashmir – Check Affected Locations and Timings” : SRINAGAR: Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns across various areas of the Valley to carry out upgradation, maintenance, and infrastructure work on 33 KV lines.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, a shutdown of the 33 KV Wanpoh SICOP line is scheduled for June 12 and June 14, from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM, to upgrade the line from 0.1 ACSR to 0.2 ACSR. As a result, the 33/11 KV Receiving Stations at Shamsipora, SICOP, Zirpara, Veeri, Shuhul Flour Mill, and Cheeniwadder will remain off. Power supply to Shamsipora, Jablipora, Zirpara, Veer, Srigufwara, SICOP, and adjoining areas will be affected.
On June 12, from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM, shutdown of the 33 KV Amargarh Achabal–Nowpora Tap line will be observed to facilitate the completion of GFRP tank lifting operations by Jal Shakti PHE Baramulla. The Receiving Station at Achabal will remain off, affecting power supply to Achabal and adjoining areas.
Further, on June 15, a series of shutdowns will be observed from 10:00 AM to 05:00 PM for preventive maintenance and line stabilisation:
33 KV Bemina-I and II lines: Receiving Stations at Bemina-I and Bemina-II will remain off. Areas affected include Hamdania Colony, HIG/MIG Colony, Nund Resh Colony, Hamza Colony, Gousia Colony, Sir Syed Abad, Qammerwari, Chatbal, SK Colony, Taushedabad, Bemina, Court Complex, Mandi, and adjoining localities.
33 KV Bemina–Karan Nagar line: Receiving Stations at Karan Nagar and Shalistore will remain off. Power supply will be affected in Chatabal, Balgarden, Zaldagar, Police Lines, Civil Secretariat, SMHS, Gole Market, Guru Bazar, Tankipora, Shaheed Gung, and nearby areas.
33 KV lines from Bemina to Barbarshah, Fatehkadal, KP Bagh, Exhibition, and JVC/PC Depot: Receiving Stations at Fatehkadal, Khayam, Barbarshah, Basant Bagh, Rakhi Arth, Court Complex, GIS Batamaloo, JVC, PC Depot, Children Hospital, and JVC Hospital will remain off. Power supply to areas including Fatehkadal, Khayam, Barbarshah, Basant Bagh, Rakh Arth, Sebdan, Batamaloo, Moominbad, Gund Reshi Colony B, Bemina JVC Hospital, Children Hospital, State Motor Garages, Haj House, Forensic Lab, Qamarwari, Baranpathar, and adjoining areas will be affected.
