Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Soura Srinagar, has invited applications from eligible candidates for the engagement of Stipendiary Senior Residents on a tenure basis. The engagement will be initially for a period of one year against vacant or likely-to-be-vacant positions in various departments as per Annexure A.

Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: DM/MCh/Dr NB/MD/MS/DNB Degree from a recognized College/University (as defined by the National Medical Commission).
- Registration: J&K Medical Registration of DM/MCh/Dr NB/MD/MS/DNB is mandatory.
- Domicile: Candidate must be a domicile of J&K.
- In-service Candidates: Required to submit N.O.C from their employer.
- Application Fee: Rs. 1000/- (Non-refundable) to be deposited in P.O.S available in the Academics Section through Card/UPI.
⚠️ Note:
- All certificates must be issued on or before the last date of submission.
- Under-process certificates will not be entertained.
- Candidates eligible for more than one specialty must apply separately for each department.
Age Limit (as on 01.01.2025)
- Broad Specialties: Not more than 45 years
- Community Medicine, Community Medicine (Ophthalmology Unit), and Microbiology: Not more than 50 years
Stipend & Allowances
- Selected candidates will receive stipend plus other admissible allowances as per rules.
- House Rent Allowance (HRA) will be provided only if accommodation is not available within the SKIMS campus.

- Download the prescribed application form (Annexure-B) from the SKIMS official website: www.skims.ac.in.
- Submit the filled-in form along with required documents, N.O.C (for in-service candidates), and fee receipt at the Academics Section (University Block), SKIMS Soura Srinagar.
- The last date for submission is September 6, 2025 (4:00 PM).
- Applications received after the deadline will not be entertained.
Selection Process
- The schedule for the selection process will be notified separately on the SKIMS website.
- No individual communication will be made.
Terms & Conditions
- The engagement shall be governed by the tenure rules of SKIMS.
- Any violation of terms will lead to immediate termination of the engagement.
- Incomplete applications will be summarily rejected.
