Acting on specific intelligence, a police team from Police Station Kulgam, accompanied by an Executive Magistrate, raided a suspected location in the village of Arreh near Islamia Hanfia Institute. During the operation, one individual was apprehended, and 471 grams of heroin-like substance were recovered from his possession.

The accused has been identified as Irfan Ahmad Raina, son of Mushtaq Ahmad, a resident of Arreh, Kulgam.
