Today’s Fresh Petrol and Diesel Prices Revealed: Check Fuel Price in Your City on May 15th
On May 15, petrol and diesel prices remained unchanged in New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. While overall petrol and diesel rates have remained steady for the past eleven months, individual cities experience daily fluctuations in their prices. However, on Friday, there was an increase in the retail prices of petrol and diesel announced by government oil companies. Besides the cities in the National Capital Region (NCR), the price of oil has also risen in several other cities in Uttar Pradesh today.
As reported by government oil companies, petrol prices dropped by 23 paise to reach Rs 96.53 per litre in Gautam Budh Nagar (Noida-Greater Noida) this morning, whereas diesel prices decreased by 22 paise to reach Rs 89.71 per litre. In Ghaziabad, petrol prices increased by 32 paise, reaching Rs 96.58 per litre, while diesel prices rose by 30 paise to Rs 89.75 per litre. In Gurugram, petrol prices rose by 9 paise, reaching Rs 97.10 per litre, and diesel prices increased by 15 paise to Rs 89.88 per litre.
Currently, in Delhi, petrol is being sold at Rs 96.72 per litre, while diesel is priced at Rs 89.62 per litre. In Mumbai, petrol is available at Rs 106.31 per litre, and diesel costs Rs 94.27 per litre. Kolkata’s petrol price stands at Rs 106.03 per litre, with diesel priced at Rs 92.76 per litre. In Chennai, petrol is being sold at Rs 102.63 per litre, while diesel is priced at Rs 94.24 per litre.
Petrol and diesel prices in India are determined by oil marketing companies (OMCs) such as Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum, and Hindustan Petroleum. These prices are adjusted daily based on the global crude oil prices.
