Two Killed, Nine Injured in Road Crash

Two non-local individuals tragically lost their lives, while nine others sustained injuries in a road accident that occurred on Thursday in the Barsoo area of Awantipora. According to an official quoted by KNO, the incident took place on the National Highway near Goripora bridge when a tempo, with the registration number JK06/3355, overturned.

The two deceased individuals, identified as Lakshman Dumka from Jharkhand and Suman Devi Chatterpure from Madhya Pradesh, passed away immediately at the scene. The injured victims have been transported to the PHC Awantipora for medical treatment.

The bodies of the deceased have been moved to SDH Pampore, and necessary procedures have been initiated. The police have registered a case and are conducting further investigations into the matter
