In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Jammu and Kashmir Housing and Urban Development Department has ordered the transfer and new postings of 23 municipal officers across various municipal councils and committees in the Union Territory. These transfers take immediate effect and aim to strengthen administrative functioning and service delivery in urban local bodies.

Key Transfers and Postings:

  1. Mirza Asif Ali Beigh – Posted as Executive Officer, Municipal Committee Achabal, with additional charge of Municipal Council Anantnag and Municipal Committee Mattan.
  2. Nisar Ahmad Awan – Tehsildar Pahalgam, will now additionally serve as Executive Officer, Municipal Committee Pahalgam.
  3. Ab. Mateen Baba – Transferred as I/c Executive Officer, Municipal Committee Magam, and will additionally handle Khansahib.
  4. Farooq Ahmad Ganie – Will now serve as I/c Executive Officer, Aishmuqam and Seer Hamdan.
  5. Shahid Yousuf Bhat – Transferred to Municipal Council Kupwara with additional charge of Handwara.
  6. Ishtyaq Ahmad – Posted to Kunzer with additional charge of Tangmarg.
