As reported by The Tribune, the deceased has been identified as Bashir Ahmed Lone, a native of Alusa village in the Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Police said Lone’s body was discovered around 9.30 am by his uncle, Ghulam Hassan Lone, after a local man named Gulshan went to check on him and found him unresponsive. The authorities were promptly informed, and a police team arrived at the scene to conduct a preliminary investigation.
Superintendent of Police Bhagat Singh Thakur confirmed that the body was taken into custody and sent for a postmortem at the local medical college. Following the examination, the body was handed over to the family.
“A case has been registered and we are looking into all possible angles,” SP Thakur said, adding that further details will be shared once the investigation progresses.
The sudden death has raised concern among the local and migrant communities in the area, though police have urged the public to avoid speculation until conclusive findings emerge.source kashmir life
