Rajouri, Jun 26: Two children lost their lives and one was rescued after a sudden flash flood hit the Sialsui area of Kalakote tehsil in Rajouri district early Thursday morning.
An official told JKNS that, “Three children were swept away by a flash flood caused by heavy rainfall. Sadly, two of them died on the spot, while one child was saved by locals and taken to a nearby hospital.”
He further said that a rescue team, along with police and local people, quickly reached the spot. “The administration is supporting the families of the victims, and further steps are being taken to ensure the safety of the area,” the official added.
