Alleged Murder of Kashmiri JCB Operator in Saudi Arabia Raises Concerns

 

 

 

Srinagar, a young man from the Qazigund area of South Kashmir, who worked as a JCB operator in Saudi Arabia, reportedly passed away after being struck by a JCB operated by a driver from Assam. However, the family has alleged that their son was murdered.

 

According to the family members of 24-year-old Zakir Nabi Bhat, son of Ghulam Nabi Bhat from Y K Pora, Qazigund, Zakir had informed them that a fellow worker from Assam had been harassing him at their workplace in Saudi Arabia. They claim that their son was hit by a JCB at the construction site, and they discovered that the Assam youth was involved in the incident.

 

The family has reached out to the Saudi government, requesting that Zakir’s final rites be performed there. They have also urged the Saudi government to ensure severe punishment for the youth responsible for Zakir’s alleged murder. The family stated that they have been informed that the accused has been apprehended by the authorities. This information was reported by KNO news agency.
