Contrasting Views on Petrol Supply,Government Assures Ample Supply of Essential Commodities in Srinagar, Petrol to be Restocked
SRINAGAR: The government has assured the public that there is no shortage of essential commodities, including petrol, in the Valley. The Divisional Commissioner of Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, stated that there is no need to panic as an adequate supply of essential commodities is available.
Furthermore, Bidhuri announced that the Srinagar-Jammu national highway will reopen tomorrow, allowing for vehicular movement. Once the highway is accessible, priority will be given to transporting essential commodities to Srinagar.
Earlier, there was a significant rush observed at petrol stations across various parts of Kashmir, with people stocking up on petrol. Reports indicated that petrol was temporarily unavailable at some fuel stations in South Kashmir, such as Anantnag and Kulgam. (KNO)
