GMC Srinagar Releases Selection List for Senior Residents and Tutors (Notification No. 03-RA of 2025): The Government Medical College (GMC), Srinagar, has officially released the Selection List for the tenure posts of Senior Residents and Tutors in various departments, as per Notification No. 03-RA of 2025 dated 10-04-2025.

This recruitment process aligns with the Government Order No. 383-JK (HME) of 2024 dated 20.06.2024, which laid out the eligibility and selection policy guidelines issued by the Health and Medical Education Department. These guidelines are applicable for all tenured posts of Senior Residents and Tutors across Government Medical Colleges in Jammu & Kashmir.
Following these directives, GMC Srinagar had issued Advertisement Notice No. 04 of 2025 dated 12.03.2025, inviting applications from eligible candidates—both in-service and not in-service—for various disciplines.
A total of 92 applications were received for these positions across different departments.
Upon scrutiny of the received applications, it was observed that seven disciplines had applications equal to or fewer than the number of vacant posts. These disciplines are:
Biochemistry
Cardiology
Nephrology
Neurosurgery
Paediatrics
Pediatric Cardiology
Respiratory Medicine
The college is now proceeding with the selection in these departments as per the defined criteria.
