The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has announced significant transfers and postings of IAS officers in the interest of administrative efficiency. The changes are effective immediately.

Key Transfers and Postings:

1. Jatin Kishore (IAS, AGMUT: 2020)
   • Previously: Additional Secretary in the Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat (also holding charge as Director, Information J&K).
   • Now: Deputy Commissioner, Ganderbal.
2. Shishir Gupta (IAS, AGMUT: 2020)
   • Previously: Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jammu.
   • Now: Deputy Commissioner, Shopian.
   • Replaces: Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar (JKAS), who will report to the General Administration Department for further posting.
3. Nitish Rajora (IAS, AGMUT: 2021)
   • Previously: Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Jammu (North).
   • Now: Director, Information, J&K.
4. Rakesh Kumar (IAS, AGMUT: 2021)
   • Previously: Sub Divisional Magistrate, Hiranagar.
   • Now: Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jammu.
5. Shubhankar Pratyush Pathak (IAS, AGMUT: 2022)
   • Previously: Sub Divisional Magistrate, Akhnoor, Jammu.
   • Now: Sub Divisional Magistrate, Uri, Baramulla.
   • Replaces: Javid Ahmad Rather (JKAS), who will report to the General Administration Department for further posting.

Objective of the Transfers

The reshuffling aims to strengthen governance, enhance administrative effectiveness, and ensure efficient public service delivery in key districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
