J&K Government Releases Tentative Seniority List for Secretariat (Gazetted) Service-II

The Jammu and Kashmir General Administration Department (GAD) has published a tentative seniority list for members of the J&K Secretariat (Gazetted) Service-II (Private Secretaries Cadre) as of November 1, 2024. This list, issued under Government Order No. 1970-JK(GAD) of 2024 dated November 25, 2024, supersedes the previous list notified on January 9, 2024.

The updated list incorporates changes due to promotions, retirements, and other adjustments. Members who find discrepancies in their assigned positions or personal details, such as their date of birth, are encouraged to submit objections or representations within 21 days of the order, accompanied by relevant documentation.

Additionally, reserved category officers, except those under SC and ST, must provide valid category certificates within the same timeframe. Failure to do so will result in their consideration under the open merit (OM) category.

The finalized seniority list will be prepared after thoroughly reviewing objections and verifying all submissions. Members can direct their queries or submissions to the GAD Services Section at its Jammu/Srinagar offices or via email at servicesection226@gmail.com.
