Srinagar, Nov 25: The Meteorological Department of Jammu and Kashmir has forecast light snow and rain in the region from the evening of November 30 to December 1, marking the end of a prolonged dry spell.

Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad, Director of the Meteorological Department, stated that a western disturbance is expected to impact the region during this period, bringing much-needed relief.

“We anticipate light snow in the higher reaches of the Kashmir Valley, such as Gulmarg, Sonmarg, and Pahalgam, while the plains are likely to experience light rainfall,” said Dr. Ahmad.

Residents are advised to take necessary precautions as the weather changes. The forecasted precipitation is expected to refresh the region and benefit the environment after a lengthy dry period.
