Appointment of Assistant Professors in Agriculture Technology Announced

The J&K Public Service Commission has recommended the appointment of candidates as Assistant Professors in Agriculture Technology on a regular temporary basis in the Higher Education Department. These appointments are in Academic Level-10 with a pay structure of Rs. 57700/- (Pre-revised Pay Band Rs. 15600-39100 + AGP Rs. 6000/-).

Reporting Instructions

  • Candidates from Kashmir Division: Report to the Nodal Principal, Government College of Education, Srinagar.
  • Candidates from Jammu Division: Report to the Nodal Principal, Government College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
  • Deadline: Candidates must report within 21 days from the issuance of this order, failing which the appointment will be automatically canceled.

Conditions of Appointment

  1. Probation Period: Two years from the date of joining.
  2. Pension Scheme: Appointees will be governed by the “New Pension Scheme” as per SRO-400 of 2009.
  3. Documents to Produce at Joining:
    • Domicile Certificate.
    • Date of Birth Certificate.
    • Qualification certificates (NET/SLET/Ph.D., marks cards, degrees).
    • Category certificate, if applicable.
    • Health and Medical Certificate.
    • Any other legally required document.

Salary and Verification

  • Salary disbursement will begin after verifying the genuineness of certificates, including qualification, date of birth, and category.
  • Candidates must submit an Affidavit as per Annexure-A for the release of salary.

Important Notes

  • The inter-se-seniority of appointees will follow the J&K Civil Services (Classification, Control & Appeal) Rules, 1956.
  • Appointments remain provisional until all certificates are verified by the respective Principals. Fake or insufficient documentation will result in the cancellation of the appointment.
  • Appointments are subject to the outcome of any Writ Petition(s) pending in court.
