The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has released the official schedule for Inter-School Migration and Eligibility Applications for students of Classes 10th, 11th, and 12th. This applies to the 2025 academic session for Kashmir Division, Winter Zone of Jammu Division/UT of Ladakh, and the 2025-26 academic session for Summer Zone of Jammu Division.

All concerned Government and Private High and Higher Secondary Schools/Institutions affiliated with JKBOSE are informed to take necessary action as per the following notification:

Category 1: Inter-School Migration Applications

Migration can be applied for in the following categories:

  • Within the same district
  • District to district
  • Division to division
    This applies to students of Class 10th (Secondary School) and Class 12th (Higher Secondary Part-II).

Category 2: Eligibility (Migration from Other Boards)

Regular students of Class 10th, 11th, and 12th who wish to migrate from other recognized educational boards in India to JKBOSE are eligible to apply online for Eligibility cum Registration.

Important Dates & Guidelines:

  • Start of Physical Verification of Documents: 26th May, 2025
  • Students who have passed their qualifying exams in Annual Regular Session (Feb-March 2025) from other boards are eligible for:
    • 2025 (Oct-Nov) session – Kashmir Division & Winter Zone of Jammu Division/UT of Ladakh
    • 2025-26 session – Summer Zone of Jammu Division

Note for Institutions:

  • Institutions must provide extra classes to migrating students to help them meet the minimum attendance requirements and cover the necessary syllabus.

Subject Change in Class 12th:

  • Any student desiring to change a subject in Class 12th (Higher Secondary Part-II) must have passed the same subject in Class 11th.
  • Failing to meet this requirement will result in their Class 11th result being placed in the D.E (Deficiency) Category.

Subject Change Schedule:

  • The schedule for subject change will coincide with the Eligibility cum Registration schedule.
