SRINAGAR: The Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns across multiple areas of Jammu and Kathua districts between May 2 and May 4 for maintenance and upgradation works, according to official statements from senior engineers of the corporation.

As per the Chief Engineer (Distribution), JPDCL Jammu, power supply to Satwari, Ashok Nagar, Shastri Nagar, Air Force, Military Hospital, Military Cantonment and adjoining areas will remain affected on May 3 from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon.
Similarly, electricity will remain suspended in IGC Gagwal, Dhalote and adjoining areas on 4 May from 6:00 am to 12:00 noon, due to planned system strengthening activities.
In a separate notice, the Superintending Engineer (Distribution), JPDCL O&M Circle Kathua informed that power supply to Dadyal, Nanga and surrounding areas will be disrupted on May 2 from 7:00 am to 11:00 am.
Further, a scheduled shutdown has been announced for Old Mawa, Rajpura, Lala Chak, BSF-1st, BSF-2nd and nearby areas, which will face power outages on both May 3 and 4 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
Meanwhile, Gurah, Vijaypur and adjacent localities will experience power disruption on May 2 from 7:00 am to 11:30 am.
