Knife Attack in Srinaga
SRINAGAR: A young resident of Sonwar, Haseeb Bhat, recently became the victim of a knife attack carried out by two unidentified 17-year-old juveniles.
As per a senior police officer, the incident took place near Zero Inn Rajbagh, where the two boys assaulted Haseeb, causing him injuries. Haseeb was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
After the attack, the perpetrators attempted to escape by jumping into the Jhelum River. However, they were successfully apprehended by the Border Security Force (BSF).
The Srinagar Police shared on Twitter, “In response to this incident, FIR No 22/2023 has been registered under sections 341, 323, 307, and 34 of the Indian Penal Code at Kothibagh Police Station. The accused individuals have been promptly arrested, and the weapon used in the crime has been recovered. Thankfully, Haseeb sustained an injury to his arm but is now in stable condition.”
