North Kashmir: SRINAGAR: An elderly man sustained injuries after lightning struck Wadder Bala village in the Handwara area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Tuesday evening.

An official said that the man was injured when lightning struck the area.
He was identified as Abdul Subhan Mir (65), son of Gh Qadir Mir and a resident of Wadder Bala. He was immediately shifted to GMC Handwara for treatment, the official said.
The injured person is reported to be out of danger and in stable condition.
The sudden lightning strike caused panic in the area, though no other casualties or damage were reported. (JKNS)
