This year’s figure has already surpassed 6.71 lakh, with several days remaining in the season.A senior official from the Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Department said the surge represents a boost to the region’s tourism sector. “The tulip bloom has become one of the main springtime attractions in the country. This record response reflects growing tourist confidence in Kashmir as a safe and scenic destination,” the official said.

Tourists have expressed strong appreciation for the garden. Sandeep, a visitor from Gujarat, said, “This is my first visit to Kashmir, and I am simply mesmerised. I have never seen such a colourful display of flowers in my life.”

The rise in visitors has also benefited the local economy. Ilyas Ahad, who runs an ice cream stall outside the garden, said business has improved notably. “This has been the best season in years. On some days, I sold out before evening. The rush has given us all renewed hope,” he said. (KNO)
