Winter Vacations 2025 for Faculty Members of SKIMS: The Shere-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) has announced the Winter Vacation holidays for faculty members for the year 2025. The vacation will be divided into two halves:
- 1st Half: From 01.01.2025 to 28.01.2025
- 2nd Half: From 01.02.2025 to 28.02.2025
Instructions for Heads of Departments
All Heads of Departments are requested to submit the names of faculty members who wish to avail of either the 1st half or 2nd half of the vacation. It is essential that 50% of the faculty staff remain available in the department during both halves. Heads of Departments must ensure that at least one senior faculty member is available in the department throughout the vacation period, wherever possible.

It is important to note that no changes will be entertained once the vacation roster has been submitted by the Heads of Departments.
Emergency Calls During Vacation
The administration reserves the right to call back any faculty member during the vacation period in case of emergencies.
Vacation Roster Requirements
To ensure smooth processing of the vacation request, the following information must be included in the vacation roster:
- Residential addresses and contact numbers of the faculty members.
- Specific mention of whether station-leaving permission is required.
- Faculty members on duty will not be allowed to avail leave for attending conferences, seminars, or workshops requiring station-leaving permission.
Deadline for Submission
The last date for submission of the vacation roster is 20.12.2024. All Heads of Departments are advised to ensure timely submission to avoid any complications.
