KPDCL Announces Power Shutdown for Line Maintenance and Reconductoring
Srinagar, Jan 04: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a scheduled power shutdown to facilitate critical line reconductoring and maintenance works.
According to the Chief Engineer, KPDCL, reconductoring of the Khanyar-Rainawari line from 0.15 ACSR to 0.2 ACSR will require a power shutdown affecting several receiving stations and feeding areas. The affected regions include Khanyar, Rainawari, Takanwari, and areas such as Miskeen Bagh, Rozabal, Maqdoom Sahib, Hazari Bagh, Jogilankar, JLNM Hospital, Kondalbal, Hassanabad, Palpora, Sangam, and Narwara. The power supply will remain disrupted on January 9, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Similarly, stabilization and improvement works on the 33 KV Badampora-Safapora Tap line and maintenance at the Receiving Station Safapora will result in power disruptions. The affected areas include Safapora, Gratbal, Jarakobagh, and Manasbal. The shutdown is scheduled for January 11, from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
